Health Centers and Hospitals

The municipality has several proposed and planned health centers in villages such as Akum, Kpep, Sambari, and Nkang.

Existing Health Center

Furu Awa village has one health center, although it is far from other communities, creating accessibility issues.

Planned Projects for Health Services

Construction of health centers in Furu Bana, Kpep, Nkang, and Nser.

Training of indigenous medical personnel in each village.

Provision of bicycles, refrigerators, and medical supplies for staff .

Sub-Divisional Offices and Gendarmerie Posts

Are present but are limited in coverage due to the rural nature of the area. There is a need for additional posts for public security, including immigration police and customs due to the proximity to Nigeria.

Veterinary services

Are required in the area, as no veterinary posts are currently available to support livestock and animal health.

Cultural services:

Construction of multi-purpose cultural halls across villages like Akum, Biando, and Furu Awa. These halls would cater to community needs, youth development, and social activities
